Calling all volunteers! We need you! - The Louisville Caboose & The Miners' Railway at Louisville Skip to main content

We just sent this to our email list last night, so if you’re not on it, sign up below in the footer!

We need your help this weekend, January 11-12!

The interior demolition crew just finished their work, and we can now access the inside of the caboose and the boxcars once again!

We have a lot of work to do in a short period of time before Crane Day, which will likely be the first or second Saturday in February.

It looks like we have a good-weather weekend coming up, and we’re going to be attempting to:

  • Finish fully separating the caboose from the building
  • Finish completely digging out the wheels and the actual train tracks of all three railcars
  • Architecturally salvage materials from the boxcars
  • …and more! (depending on how many volunteers we can drum up!)

Will you join us? If you, your friends, and anyone you know is able to come out this weekend and help, please respond to this email and let us know. We can use man-, woman-, and kid-power along with tools such as shovels, saws, chainsaws, pry bars, etc to make all this happen.

We will generally be on-site from 9AM-5PM, however, please let us know beforehand if you plan on coming!

Thank you so much,
The Ramos Family
