Announcing CRANE DAY - February 29, 2020 - The Louisville Caboose & The Miners' Railway at Louisville Skip to main content

WILL YOU JOIN US?

On the morning of February 29th, a huge crane will raise the caboose from its half-century resting place, lifting it to new life, literally saving it from being demolished.

We can’t wait. And we’d like to invite you to be part of the event.

We’re envisioning taking a historic photograph, together, to document this momentous occasion. Once the caboose is raised into the air, we’ll have a photographer capture a photo with all of us gathered on the hillside in front of the caboose.

They’ll be capturing a photo – but so much more. They’ll be capturing the essence of our small-town spirit, our ability to dream big and band together to make the most unlikely of ideas come to fruition (things like rescuing this 44,800lb caboose in the dead of winter!).

They’ll be capturing The Spirit of Louisville.

Will you join us on February 29, 2020, at 8:30 AM to be part of this photograph as well as watch as we crane the caboose and remains of the boxcars free?

Can’t wait to see you there,
– The Ramos Family

PS – Help us spread the word! We want anyone who’s been part of making this crazy project happen – from volunteers to campaign contributors and anyone in-between – there on the hillside with us!!
